Milan, the Cyclotourism Show returns.

Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13, 2022, La Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan will host the first Cyclotourism Show in Italy.

Italians are increasingly choosing active holidays, and among the available options, cyclotourism is one of the most popular activities. According to a study by Unioncamere and Legambiente, cyclotourism in our country alone accounts for 77.6 million stays, or 8.4% of the total national tourism movement. That is over 6 million people who have spent a holiday cycling, generating a business turnover of 7.6 billion euros per year.

And the public sector is not standing still: in just three years, our country has allocated over 750 million euros for the creation of a national network of bike paths, and regions are responding more quickly by creating routes, signage, and dedicated services.

The lack of a meeting point between demand and supply for cycling experiences led to the creation of the first Cyclotourism Show, which will be held on Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13 at La Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan.

The Cyclotourism Show aims to create a logical path for exhibitors to present their perfect vacation or weekend getaway: for families, adventurers, or athletes, but always on two wheels.
“Italy is a country to be savored at the right pace,” says Paolo Pinzuti, CEO of Bikenomist and organizer of the show. “With the Cyclotourism Show, we wanted to create a catalog of experiences and beauty for everyone who wants to pedal in new places, far from traffic, without the need to improvise.”

In addition to the exhibition area, the Cyclotourism Show will also host the Bikeitalia talks, a packed series of meetings, presentations, screenings, and storytelling of places, experiences, dreams, techniques, and travel tips that will enliven the two days.

The Cyclotourism Show is organized by Bikenomist srl, a Milan-based company specializing in bicycle communication, in collaboration with Estro and RM Ideas Factory.
