The Varese area is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, nestled between Lake Maggiore and Lake Ceresio, and enriched by several additional bodies of water, earning it the title “province of the seven lakes. It is also an area rich in high-profile artistic and cultural heritage, with four UNESCO World Heritage Sites: special places like the Sacro Monte of Varese, the Lombard area of Castelseprio and Torba, the fossil-rich area of Mount San Giorgio straddling Italy and Switzerland, and the prehistoric pile-dwelling sites on Lake Varese.
