Via Silente

La Via Silente, a 600-km circular cycling route established about 10 years ago, embodies the essence of Southern Italy. Winding through the Cilento, Vallo di Diano, and Alburni National Park, it offers a blend of warm hospitality, excellent cuisine, pleasant climate, and rich cultural heritage.

The route, stretching from the coast to the mountains, winds through hills of ancient olive trees and serenely quiet villages. The Via Silente is distinguished by its abundance of water—an invaluable resource for cyclists tackling its sometimes challenging elevation changes.

Over the years, the Via Silente has been chronicled by hundreds of bike travelers, creating a rich tapestry of stories and adventures.

2024 marks a significant milestone with the opening of Palazzo ReSilente. This historic building, renovated and transformed into a 30-bed hostel, now serves as the starting point for the route. Equipped with common areas, a travel library, bike rentals, an information center, and the Bike Club, it’s the perfect launchpad for this adventure.

The Via Silente is more than just a cycling route — it’s a journey into the soul of Southern Italy, where nature and culture blend seamlessly with heartfelt local hospitality.
