VILLAR SAN COSTANZO: THIS MUST BE THE PLACE
If the Cuneo area is a perfect land for cycling, with miles of roads that make any bike enthusiast’s eyes light up and heart race, Villar San Costanzo is a small village located at the crossroads of iconic cycling and tourist destinations. From here, you can reach legendary routes that have shaped cycling history, venturing from Val Maira to Val Varaita and Val Grana, while also connecting to the EuroVelo 8, the cycling route dedicated to exploring the Mediterranean.
Situated in the lower valley at 620 meters above sea level, the opportunities for cycling around Casa BART are endless and accessible almost year-round.
CASA BART: LOVE ON TWO WHEELS
Born out of Augusta and Luca’s shared passion for cycling—a passion that brought them together, made them fall in love, and eventually marry—Casa BART was created with all the services they, as bike travelers, had (or wished they’d had) during their own cycling journeys.
At Casa BART, anyone arriving with or by bike will find a secured, video-monitored bike room, a small repair workshop, e-bike charging, bike rentals, a bike washing area, laundry facilities, a gym, a hearty breakfast, the option to request snacks for your ride, as well as in-house dining, transfer services, early check-in, and late check-out.
But Casa BART truly embodies a love for cycling. While Augusta channels her creativity in the kitchen, Luca is an excellent Bike Manager who can provide anything from simple advice to route adjustments, ensuring you cycle on secondary, traffic-free roads. He can even accompany you on your rides, as he is a certified Cycle Tourism Guide for the Piedmont Region—for those who truly want to get to know the territory.
