This second edition of the Cyclotourism Fair is packed with appointments and moments of fun. In addition to the expo area, there will be entertainment, activities for children, workshops, and travel stories.
On Saturday evening, thanks to the Sicilian Region, a Roy Paci concert will be held inside DumBO. The concert is by invitation only, and access will be granted to those who have visited the fair during the day. Here are more details on the program and how to participate.
Throughout both days, the other main sponsor, Gran Canaria, will invite visitors to step onto the stage located at Binario Centrale to explore the landscapes of Gran Canaria by bike, challenging other visitors and answering questions from Mariangela Martino, an actress, musician, and presenter with unstoppable energy. The prize for those who hop onto the stage and cycle is a one-week trip for two to Gran Canaria.
Who hasn’t faced a mechanical issue during a bike ride?
Prevention is better than cure, which is why the Bikeitalia staff is organizing free workshops on basic and emergency bike maintenance. These include preparing your bike for a trip, where you will see all the preventive maintenance operations to make sure your bike is in perfect condition, as well as dealing with unexpected issues during the ride, because no matter how much we prepare, the fear of a mechanical problem is always lurking. Activities for the little ones
This year, we’ve created a Kids Area, a space dedicated to children, where they can experience physical and playful activities in total safety. It’s not just entertainment, as we aim to raise awareness among children about the importance of a physically active lifestyle. Moreover, we want to teach them to ride independently and safely, even on the street. There will be play workshops, led by qualified instructors, where children can have fun and ride together, even without their parents. The Kids Area is organized by Eden Asd and FIAB Bologna, with the support of the Sicilian Region.

THE TALKS
For those interested in learning more about the world of cyclotourism, from best practices on sustainable mobility to travel experiences, we have our Bikeitalia Talks: presentations, travel stories, and destinations to discover, offering plenty of ideas to imagine and prepare for your first or next cycling trip. Among the guests will be Omar Di Felice with a talk about his management of limits, Guinness World Record holder Paola Gianotti, Dino Lanzaretti, with his extreme travels from Siberia to South America, and an invitation to travel as a woman with the screening of “Women Don’t Cycle,” a documentary by Manon Brulard about the women she met during her bike journey to Japan. There will be many appointments to talk about destinations, traveling with children, traveling solo, and tips for organizing your next trip. Here is the link to the program!
