“Group Tours” is a new feature that allows komoot users to transform any planned Tour into a shared adventure.
Komoot has launched “Group Tours,” a new feature that allows users to turn any planned tour into a shared adventure. You can now organize rides, bike rides, and group tours with just a simple tap, sharing them via QR code – even moments before the activity begins. Enjoying the outdoors with others has never been easier. Both organizers and participants can focus on the route, reassured that everyone will follow the same path. Additionally, real-time route updates allow Tours to be modified on the go, offering maximum flexibility. All participants are instantly notified of any changes to the route.
Easily organize shared adventures
After creating a Tour using the Tour Planner or discovering one through komoot’s Explore map, users can select “Organize a Group Tour” to generate a QR code that can be shared with anyone who wishes to join.
Users can also invite others through apps or shareable links.
At this point, participants can follow the route from their phone or the komoot Connect IQ™ app and enjoy the experience at their own pace. Both organizers and participants can be assured that no one will stray from the planned route.
Replans and updates on the go
Whether it’s a detour caused by a mechanical issue or a coffee break mid-adventure, Tour organizers can re-plan the route at any time, ensuring maximum flexibility. Komoot sends a notification to all participants with the updated route. This ensures that even those who stop to take a photo or fix a puncture won’t get lost or stray from their group.
Stay connected to the community
Whether it’s a post-work social ride, a club outing, or a weekend family adventure, organizing or joining a shared activity has never been easier or more inclusive. Gone are the days of worrying about keeping up with the group or waiting for stragglers. Now, each participant can follow the Tour at their own pace.
Group adventures can be organized regardless of the user’s Tour privacy settings. If a Tour is marked as “private,” only invited participants can view and follow it.
Plan your next Tour and turn it into a shared adventure with the new “Group Tour” feature.
